Townshend's Bend Teahouse

Townshend's Tea Company closed all of their retail locations and online tea store in 2020.

Townshend's Tea Company currently has four teahouses in Oregon, with their Bend location opening in 2008.  Townshend's Bend Teahouse is located downtown on NW Bond Street between NW Franklin Avenue and NW Minnesota Avenue.

The interior is casual and inviting, with plentiful seating suitable for groups and individuals.  Artwork is on display, as well as a wide selection of teas, teaware, and gifts.  

There's quite a contrast between the bright, direct sunlight outside and the warmly lit interior.  This is a great example of just how bright the day can be at high elevations with no clouds in sight.  

I noticed these wonderful skylight paintings and was so surprised to see Takasugi-an (the tree house teahouse)!  I had to resist babbling excitedly about it to anyone who would listen.  

After a long and beautifully scenic drive up through the Santiam Pass, I really appreciated this cup of roasted Dragon Eye Dong Ding.

Stop by Townshend's for a rest and a great cup of tea!  If your schedule won't allow you to take advantage of the relaxing atmosphere, Townshend's also offers their teas to go.
