The dry leaf aroma has notes of fragrant wood and nut shells.
The liquor is bright red with aroma notes of cinnamon-like spice, sweet baked fruit, and green vine. The taste is full-bodied and moderately astringent with spice notes and a hint of smoke followed by a long, sweet, fruity finish.
While this blend stands up well to milk, it was rather good without. The fullest flavor was in the first infusion.
