Tea Review: Jasmine Bi Luo Chun Green Tea (Teavivre)

Jasmine Bi Luo Chun Green Tea
Teavivre
Type: Flavored Green
Origin: China, Fujian Province, Fuding City, Mt. Taimu
Product Description:
Although this tea has the Bi Luo Chun name, it is made using different materials; the name comes from its similar appearance, slightly curly leaves like snail shells. This tea has a lovely jasmine fragrance to it, a result of meticulous scenting with jasmine blossoms. Temperature: 175° F
Temperature: 175-195° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 2 minutes

The dry leaves have a heady jasmine aroma.

The peach-green liquor has a bold aroma of sweet jasmine, a smooth jasmine-filled taste with a long finish.

Brewing this tea at 175° F and 185° F had similar pleasantly smooth jasmine-filled results without astringency, ideal for my preferences.  Brewing at 195° F resulted in a much more pronounced jasmine flavor and aroma, while still remaining smooth and without a notable increase in astringency over the first two infusions.  By the third infusion, the tea leaves had fully opened and astringency was just beginning to develop.

This tea was received as a gift from a third party.
