On Saturday, I attended Hanami no chakai (Spring Tea Gathering) at Everett Community College. The Nippon Business Institute has the Nishiyama Japanese Garden and Teahouse on their premises and it's a lovely hidden treasure. We were especially fortunate to have clear, sunny skies for the occasion as we've been experiencing grey, rainy days all week. In fact, it was grey again by the time I returned home. Lucky!
