Reading Recommendation: Asian Theatre Journal

When I first learned about the Asian Theatre Journal, published by the University of Hawai'i Press, it was like a fantastic feast after a long, restrictive diet.  I'm a complete geek when it comes to asian performing arts.  There is a constant challenge in finding new, comprehensive information rather than the standard short summaries covering the same basic subjects with very little substance.

Asian Theatre Journal is packed with detailed, well thought out, and thoroughly researched articles encompassing a broad range of performing arts.  It has introduced me to a much larger world than I would have discovered for myself and I give it the highest recommendation.

The Asian Theatre Journal is available in printed format through the University of Hawai'i Press as well as in html and PDF format through the electronic database at Project MUSE.
