The dry leaves are blended with grenadine and vanilla.
The orange infusion has an aroma of sweet cherries and vanilla with a mild dry cherry flavor and moderate astringency.
My first encounter with this Monk's Blend was at an Afternoon Tea where it paired well with sandwiches and other light and savory fare. It is best at one steeping as the flavor, aroma, and color are all significantly diminished by a second steeping.
