Tea Review: Lu An Gua Pian

Lu An Gua Pian
Gift/Mystery Tea
Type:  Green
Origin:  Not Available.
Product Description:  Not Available.

Temperature: 175° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 2 minutes

The dry leaves have an aroma of oats, green wood, sunflower seeds, and a hint of honey.

The infusion is pale yellow-green with a savory aroma of macadamia nuts, and steamed green vegetables.  The taste is toasty, nutty, green and almost buttery with only light astringency.

This tea produced three nice infusions and might have gone further with a longer steeping time after the second infusion.  The first cup was the most flavorful, the second was greener with moderate astringency, and the third produced an infusion that was similar to, but lighter than the first.  I was reminded of a Dragonwell with tea buds.
