The dry leaves have a sharp aroma of figs, freshly cut wood, and oats.
The infusion is light golden with a sweet floral and nutty aroma. The taste is smooth and lightly floral with a velvety finish.
The oolong produced three excellent infusions, increasing in flavor, aroma, and color, but with no increase in astringency. This could easily produce more good cups as the leaves had only partially unfurled by the third steeping.
I do wish the person who had gifted me with this tea had been able to provide origin information because this is a wonderful tea that I would enjoy having in my collection.
