British Bites

British Bites has been in business serving Puyallup and the surrounding area since 2013.  The shop and bistro is located on East Main Avenue between 7th Street SE and 9th Street NE.

Check in at the counter and make a selection (or several) of their deliciously decadent baked goods.

To the left, you'll find enough staple British foods to stock your cupboards for a long winter, including a full assortment of Britain's most well-known teas.  You'll also find gifts for the Hogwart's-bound Harry Potter fans, Whovians, and Anglophiles in your life.

Seating for tea and lunch is in the bistro to the right with more casual seating available just inside the entrance.

My tea selection during this visit was Barry's Gold, a black tea blend that smooths out nicely with just a touch of milk.

British Bites offers a Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea for parties of two or more and for single guests like myself, they offer the Crawley House Afternoon Tea.  My set included salmon cucumber sandwiches, coronation chicken croissant, sausage roll, scone with jam and clotted cream, cherry bakewell, lemon tart, petite mini vicky, knobby, gingersnap, shortbread, and fresh fruit.

British Bites also offers a Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea with at least two days advance notice.  Please be sure call ahead to reserve your space for any Afternoon Tea sets.

Thanks to the friendly staff, and to owner Terri Williams who responded to my email even while away on holiday!  I'm looking forward to many return visits!
