The dry leaves have an aroma of brown bread, oats, smoke, and a pinch of pepper.
The pale green infusion has an aroma that is light, savory, nutty (macadamia nuts), and buttery. The taste is savory, and lightly nutty, with a lightly astringent vine green appearing at the back of the palate.
This tea produced three infusions that were pleasantly light and savory with umami. The astringency remained low and the flavor became lighter after each infusion, though I would expect to get good results for one or two more.
