Product Description: Similar to Lapsang Souchong, but more smooth.
Temperature: 208° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes
The dry leaves have the aroma of heavy pine smoke.
The orange-amber infusion has a bold aroma of pine smoke with a smooth, non-astringent, smoky flavor.
The first infusion is bold while also being quite palate-friendly, with none of the tartness or astringency that I have found in some other varieties of Lapsang Souchong. A second infusion is not ideal as most of the flavor comes out in the first, though the aroma does develop an interesting sweetness.
An Afternoon to Remember will no longer sell tea after May 6, 2016. Inspirations Tea Room will begin selling the same tea blends after May 24, 2016.
