Tea Review: Sun Moon Lake (Seattle Best Tea)

Sun Moon Lake
Seattle Best Tea
Type:  Black
Origin:  Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake
Product Description:  Not provided.

Temperature: 195° F
Amount: 2 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The dry leaves have an aroma of plums, flowers, and a hint of sugar.

The infusion is red amber with an aroma of warm apricots, caramelized sugar, and green beans.  The taste is sweet and vine green, with notes of caramelized sugar and a long dry finish.

The flavor and aroma did not weaken throughout three steepings and, with the leaves only half-unfurled at this point, I would expect to get several more delicious infusions.  A shorter steeping time of 1 to 2 minutes produced a sweeter, fruitier flavor.

This tea was purchased by me.
