Tea Review: Peppermint Tea (The Tea Spot)

Peppermint Tea
The Tea Spot
Type: Herbal
Origin: USA
Product Description: Peppermint leaves make a minty, refreshing drink that is highly satisfying both hot and cold. A native of the Mediterranean, peppermint leaves were often used to crown luminaries in ancient Greece and Rome. It continues to be revered for its refreshing aroma, a bit stronger and more peppery than Spearmint. If you have yet to try gourmet peppermint tea, you'll be pleasantly surprised by its superior flavor. The menthol aroma is a great way to wake up in the morning & clear the sinuses!

Temperature: 208° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The dry leaf aroma is boldly minty.

The infusion is golden orange with a bold, cool, refreshing aroma and taste of peppermint with a long finish.

A teaspoon of this tisane goes a long way.  If the serving size is one teaspoon, steeping up to six minutes would be appropriate.  If the serving size is 3 grams, cut the time down by half.  You can expect full flavor throughout multiple steepings and a cold brew would also be worthwhile.

This tea was provided as a free sample without guarantee of a review.
