The dry leaves have a rich aroma of charcoal smoke, seasoned wood, and dark brown bread.

The infusion is peach-yellow with a smoky, savory and sweet aroma.  The taste is lightly smoky, smooth, sweet, and savory with a refreshing sweet finish.

The oolong became bolder in color and aroma as the leaves unfurled after the first infusion, with each sip leaving an almost mouthwatering sensation with no dryness.  While I stopped at three infusions, I would expect this tea to produce flavorful results for at least two to three more infusions.   

This oolong is currently out of stock, though 2 roast and 4 roast Dong Ding are available at the time of this review.
