The dry leaves have an aroma of peat moss and bark.
The copper red infusion has an aroma of earth and lotus root with a taste of earth and wood and a mildly tangy finish.
As with most heicha, this tea can be resteeped many, many times. I steeped the second infusion at a slightly higher temperature of 208° F which seemed to bring out a more tangy taste.
