Tea Review: Organic Boseong Green Tea (Boseong Woonhae Tea Plantation)

Organic Boseong Green Tea
Boseong Woonhae Tea Plantation/보성운해녹차
Type: Green
Origin: South Korea, Boseong
Product Description: Not provided.

Temperature: 175° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The dry leaves have a fresh green aroma with notes of sweet oats, sugar, nuts, and wood.

The aroma of the light yellow-green infusion is rich, buttery, and savory with fresh green notes.  The taste is almost smooth with green and nutty notes and a hint of astringency.

This was one of the most buttery teas I've experienced and the aroma is intoxicating.  The color, aroma, and taste deepened by the third infusion and it's well worth steeping a few more times.  While steeping at 175° F for 3 minutes produced the most delicious results for my preference, steeping at a lower temperature for a shorter amount of time will produce slightly sweeter results.

This tea was provided as a free sample without guarantee of a review.
