Tea Review: Huang Shan Mao Feng (Silk Road)

Huang Shan Mao Feng
Silk Road
Type: Green
Origin: China, Anhui Province, Huangshan City
Product Description: Prized since the Qing Dynasty for a compelling light floral aroma and fresh taste, this tea's name comes from the shape of its leaves which resemble a mountain peak.

Grown at a high altitude surrounded by wildflowers and trees, tea bushes absorb the pristine flavours of the wilderness while developing high antioxidant levels from the terrain and growing conditions Carefully hand-picked and skillfully dried to preserve the tea's natural goodness.

Temperature: 175° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The dry leaves have an aroma of antique wood with a hint of hay and flowers.

The pale golden infusion has a lightly sweet sesame-like aroma with a smooth sesame taste and a long finish.

The flavor is mellow and deepens subtly with each infusion and the finish lingers pleasantly.  Enjoy this tea separate from food to get the best experience and don't be afraid to steep longer or use more leaf.

This tea was purchased by me.
