The dry leaves have a bold citrus aroma.

The dark reddish-brown liquor has a deep aroma of citrus, wood mulch, forest floor, vine, and spices.  The taste is rich and smooth with notes that remind me of chili pepper chocolate, citrus, wood and nut shells.

This tea was rich and smooth right from the first infusion and continued to be smooth and flavorful throughout three steepings.  The notes of chili and chocolate were delightfully unexpected, likely a result of how the sweet citrus notes overlapped with the tea leaf aroma, and I was reminded of a spicy chocolate bar I sometimes treat myself to.

This tea was purchased by me.
