The dry leaves have an aroma of roasted chestnuts and autumn leaves.
The orange amber infusion has a rich and savory aroma and taste of roasted chestnuts with a long finish.
This hojicha was rich and delicious throughout three infusions. I believe I reviewed this tea many years ago when it was simply listed as Hojicha. This was a delight to rediscover. Considering that the first thing that came to mind when smelling the dry leaves was a mound of autumn leaves, I would say the update tea name is accurate.
