An Iron Goddess red heart varietal picked in the summer and processed into a twisted leaf Eastern Beauty style oolong.Temperature: 190° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes
The dry leaves have an aroma of aged wood, nut shells, and dates.
The orange amber infusion has an aroma of baked stone fruit, cooked vine beans, and a hint of honey. The taste has notes of apricot, green beans, and sunflower seeds with a long apricot-like finish.
This oolong brewed beautifully when prepared western-style as well as gongfu-style. The best flavor was in the first two steepings and the finish went on and on, leaving me with a strong craving for toasted bread topped with apricot preserves.
This tea was purchased by me.
