Village Eatery and Tea Company is tucked away in the corner of the Southwest courtyard of Bothell's Country Village on Bothell-Everett Highway.
The restaurant has been in business since 2009 and offers a variety of tea sets and a full lunch menu, including sandwiches and British favorites such as sausage rolls and Cornish pasties. All baking is done by owner Jan Zeller.
Many of the baked goods and teas you can enjoy during your visit are also available to take home, along with a variety of teaware and gifts.
After a long rain-drenched drive, I was ready to unwind with a Cozy Tea, a tea set ideal for guests who are dining alone. My set included Margaret's Hope Darjeeling, vegetable soup, salmon cucumber sandwiches, a lemon glazed scone served with lemon curd and English Norfolk Cream, and a trio of sweets.
This was exactly what I needed to shake off the chill of the early-Autumn day.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I didn't quite make it out the door without a new teacup to add to my collection and I'm looking forward to returning with friends for a proper High Tea.
