The dry leaf aroma has notes of wood, oats, rice, and bread.
The bright red infusion has a thick and savory aroma with notes of nuts, stone fruit, and a floral hint. The taste has notes that remind me of sweet dark rye, whole grain bread, and nut shell with a brief bitterness followed immediately by pleasant sweetness.
This was an older sample, yet quite flavorful. The aroma reminded me of a really good dark bread. The coffee-like bitterness was interesting as it was only there briefly, just as it hit the roof of my mouth, before vanishing almost immediately to make way for sweetness.
