Cederberg Tea House closed in June 2018.
Cederberg Tea House opened in the Queen Anne neighborhood in June and is located at the corner of Queen Anne Avenue North and West Galer Street. This South African tea shop specializes in drinks prepared with their Rooibos espresso machine.
In addition to their Rooibos specialties, Cederberg Tea House offers a variety of loose leaf teas and South African sweets and savories. You'll also find a nice selection of South African dry and canned goods.
The interior is relatively spacious and the seating is comfortable. The best seats in the house may soon be around the fireplace in the cold months ahead.
My first visit to Cederberg followed a 5K and their Rooibos Frappe was sweet, refreshing, and just what I needed to cool down. The sausage roll and dessert (I believe it was a Peppermint Crisp pudding) were delicious, as well.
Cederberg Tea House now offers Afternoon Teas and Tea Parties. On "Quiet Wednesday", they host an open mic night featuring musicians, poets, and more. Check out their Facebook page for regular menu and event updates.
