The dry leaves have an aroma of cocoa powder, sweet tobacco, and seared wood.
The infusion is golden orange with a aroma of grilled vegetables, cocoa powder, and caramelized sugar with a sweet, smooth, toasty flavor.
This tea is most flavorful and aromatic at one infusion. Due to roasting and because this is a stem tea, the dry leaves are considerably lighter in weight than an unroasted leaf tea. It took well over two full teaspoons of dry tea to reach 3 grams and produce a flavorful cup of tea.
