Tea Review: 2006 Cang Yuan Wa Mountain Pu-erh Brick (Phoenix Tea)

2006 Cang Yuan Wa Mountain Pu-erh Brick (Ripe)
Phoenix Tea
Type: Puerh
Origin: China, Yunnan
Product Description:  These bricks were crafted by a talented female puer master name Tanmei who used to work for the Kunming tea factory. Now she is independent and works with her husband to market her tea.

Temperature: 195° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The dry leaves have an aroma of earth, wood, smoke, and salt.

The infusion is coppery red-brown with an earthy, mossy, smoky aroma and an earthy flavor with a long finish.

This puerh has a lot to give, with the flavor and aroma remaining bold and complex through three three-minute steepings.  Longer steepings produced even better results with darker liquor and stronger flavor.

This tea was purchased by me.
