The dry leaves have an aroma of vanilla and bergamot.

The red infusion has a heady aroma of vanilla cream and bergamot with a bold bergamot and light vanilla taste, moderate astringency, and a long citrus finish.

The bergamot was quite bold and this is one of the few teas that I would consider adding milk to without fear of a notable loss of flavor.  While the best results are in the first cup, the bergamot flavor and aroma carried over well into a second steeping.
