Tea Review: Korean Sejak (LizzyKate)

Korean Sejak
LizzyKate
Type: Green
Origin: South Korea, Jeju Island
Product Description:
This Korean green tea is grown on Jeju Island, south of the Korean mainland. During the processing, the tea leaves are steamed like a Japanese green tea but retain the curled leaf like some Chinese green teas. The result is a smooth, buttery tea with mild grassy and vegetal notes. We are excited for you to try our first Korean tea.
Temperature: 175° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 1-2 minutes

The dry leaf aroma is sweet and savory with notes of nuts, brown bread, and aged wood.

The golden green infusion has a rich, buttery, and nutty aroma.  The taste is rich, buttery, and green with notes of toasted sesame seeds and mild astringency followed by a refreshing sweet green finish.

A one minute infusion produced the ideal results for my preference and, of course, a slight increase in steeping time will bring out more astringency for those that prefer it.  I especially enjoyed the refreshing feeling after I had finished the cup.

This tea was purchased by me.
