Tea Review: Organic Ginger Tea (The Tea Spot)

Organic Ginger Tea
The Tea Spot
Type: Herbal
Origin: Peru
Plump bits of dried ginger root steep into a strikingly spicy and aromatic brew. Super warming with fresh lemon and honey, as well as cold brewed. Great source of Vitamin C and magnesium. Used for centuries to relieve stress, stomach cramps, nausea, and respiratory ills.
Temperature: 208° F
Amount: 3 grams or 1 teaspoon
Steeping Time: 3 minutes

The tisane consists entirely of dried ginger root.

The opaque lemon-yellow infusion has the bold and zingy aroma and flavor of fresh ginger.

Three grams of ginger produced very bold results which is great if you really want it to pack a punch and even better if you'll be adding lemon and honey.  For the purposes of this review, I used teaspoon of dried ginger which produced the bold results I was hoping for without being overwhelming.  While the color paled significantly and became clear after the first infusion the taste remained almost at full strength throughout three infusions.  I would expect several more full-flavored infusions.

This tea was purchased by me.
