Tea Review: Papa Wolf (Friday Afternoon)

Papa Wolf
Friday Afternoon
Type: Flavored Green
Origin: Not Provided
Product Description:
Sometimes you just need a dose of fatherly warmth. Allow us to provide this for you with this rich and toasty green tea blend. Warming cinnamon and smooth dark chocolate round out the profile for a truly sustaining cup. Winter is coming.
Temperature: 208° F
Amount: 3 grams
Steeping Time: 4-6 minutes

The dry leaf blend includes roasted green tea, cinnamon, and dark chocolate.

The liquor is dark red with an aroma of caramel, roasted tea, cocoa, and vanilla.  The taste is dark and roasty with a hint of cinnamon and a long roasty finish that somehow evolves into dark chocolate cake-like notes.

The aroma of this tea reminded me of a decadent dark chocolate dessert and cinnamon sugar cookies and I had a mighty need for both following this review.  The best flavor is in the first two infusions with the cinnamon notes moving to the front after the initial infusion.  As this tea blend has a lot of sediment, I recommend using a brewing vessel with a fine mesh infuser.

This is a seasonal fandom blend, usually available in summer, though it does appear to be in stock at the time of this review.

This tea was purchased by me.
